Tacos Jalisco Grill & Cantina: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Reno

I was looking for a restaurant near me after my doctor’s appointment. This restaurant came up and I decided to give it a try. I felt the price was a little too high but considering the location I can understand the price. The food did not disappoint. Great quality! Service was good as well. Staffs are friendly. I got what I paid for. I’ll come back again if I’m in the area looking for a decent Mexican Food.

I've been coming here for more than 10 years. The food is always delicious and service is quick and friendly. Never had a bad meal here and it's right across the road from work. Super convenient for a quick taco or 2 or 3...

Carolina is my all time favorite server! She brings me my carne asada so delicious with the grilled nopalitos, cheese quesadillas, rice, charro bean, avocado., grilled jalapeño, & onions sizzling hot

Passed by this restaurant so many times and decided to finally stop for dinner. We were not disappointed! Food was delicious-shrimp chalupas were filled with fresh shrimp and flavor. Shrimp quesadillas- excellent with plenty of flavor and huge shrimp inside. Lemonade and hibiscus drinks were delicious. Our server was amazing!

I’ve been coming to this place for YEARS. I recently moved out of town, I still come back into town occasionally just for this place. The sweet tea is perfect and the enchiladas are consistently delicious, the table salsa is the best I’ve had. And don’t get me started with the service! Best staff that never misses a refill! I love coming here, but this is my taqueria, you have to find your own. lol

Great, Authentic and the best in town! If you come to San Antonio you need to visit 2 places.. the Alamo and Jalisco Cantina. Food is great, tastes fresh, served straight out of the grill. The food catches all authentic flavors and above all on a reasonable price. Service is excellent, as soon as you sit down the servers start taking care of you. They are all respectable and with a lot of attention to detail. Best deal for me, the 1 pound barbacoa. Best meal for postworkout. Must try this place.

Update: Still amazing! They've downsized to make space for a snack/dessert place next door, but the food is still just as good as the first time I had them Love this spot! Original: Mm mMm MmMm this place was good. I was craving breakfast tacos past 11am and needed a fix. Searched for a few places and ended up here. Happy with the Google gods for bringing ne here and finding me a new local spot I'll be frequenting for years to come. I had regular bacon&egg tacos on flour to-go. I paid $6 for 2 tacos. Somewhat reasonable these days. Got home and they were amazing While waiting for my order to be made I looked around and the place was spotlessly cleaned, well maintained and full of smiling faces. The staff who helped me were very nice and seemed enthusiastic about sharing their faves. I'm already excited to try them for lunch or dinner plates very soon!

Update: I was in San Antonio for 6 days. Every morning i was here for breakfast: 1 or 2 tacos everyday. I crave it every morning since i left. The corn tortillas are divine! Every variation of taco was fantastic (i'm drooling at the memory). The restaurant is always spotlessly clean, the service is top notch (i really love the staff), and i feel welcome. Never leave hungry. Original: Where do I begin? This place has been one of my favourites for at least 7 years. Because I live out of town and get to visit only once or twice a year, anticipation heightens my memories and expectations. Never once has El Jalisco let me down. Consistently outstanding food and service. I always eat breakfast there when I'm in town and sometimes lunch. Since I'm eating some of the foods over and over again, over a period of years, I can attest that the quality never wavers. The service is on par with nicer restaurants where the staff is well trained in table service as well as customer service. The dining area and restrooms are spotlessly clean. One waitress was wiping down clean tables this morning and quietly singing along to the music playing in the restaurant. The music is very nice and never too loud. Yesterday they turned it down even lower because my papa has hearing aids was was having trouble hearing over the music. I love the high-backed quiet booths and long tables for large families to sit together and enjoy a meal. I throughly enjoyed the barbacoa taco on corn tortilla this morning with lime, onions, and cilantro. I stop and lay the taco down between each bite so I can savour the unctuous shredded meat with the crunch of onion, sour lime, and bite of the red salsa. The second taco was refrito, also on corn tortilla because they are outstanding, because I always have beans for breakfast. This made my belly so happy!!
